PURPOSE: A method for providing a wireless Internet service by using an automatic connection code and a mobile terminal therefor are provided to allow a user to be connected to a pertinent server whenever the user wants by simply scanning an automatic connection code one time. CONSTITUTION: An image recognizing unit(110) connected with a camera scans an automatic connection code image. A decoder(120) receives the automatic connection code image which has been photographed by the image recognizing unit(110) and interprets the image information. A connection and storage checking unit(150) checks whether a user wants to be connected to a server indicated by the automatic connection code and whether the user wants to store the automatic connection code, and if the user wants to store the automatic connection code, the connection and storage checking unit(150) stores the automatic connection code. A memory unit(140) stores an interpretation result of the automatic connection code. An interface module(160) transmits the information which has been interpreted in the decoder(120) to a code switching platform, and receives connection information corresponding to the automatic connection code from the code switching platform.
