Method for documentation of a dental treatment process, e.g. an operation, and for recording materials used, whereby activities and or materials used are at least partially automatically recorded using a data acquisition unit, e.g. an optical sensor or video camera, and then transmitted to a storage unit and or evaluation unit. The invention also relates to a corresponding dental treatment documentation system.
