The vertical bag forming, filling and sealing machine (1) includes a forming collar (4), a vertically aligned filling pipe (6) and a longitudinal sealing device (7). Rollers (10), viewed in the transporting direction, are provided between the forming collar and sealing device. The machine has an additional drawing device (19), with a drive (20) and a belt (22) revolving around two wheels (21), which acts against the film web (5) and therefore against the filling pipe, and acts on the point of the film web on which there is no longitudinal seam (9). The drives of the additional drawing device and film transporting device are synchronized.
