Rotary printing unit for a machine of the tobacco processing industry

Method for applying print markings to a tobacco product article, especially a wrapping strip such as cigarette paper (210.1, 210.2) or to rod-shaped articles being moved at a constant predetermined conveying speed using a transport arrangement. During the print process the relative speed difference between the print element (70) and the article being printed is reduced. Independent claims are also included for the following : (1) an arrangement (230) for applying print markings to tobacco product articles; (2) a corresponding tobacco product processing machine incorporating such an arrangement.
