Mounting rail for positioning tap fittings during wall construction

Following the construction of a bathroom or kitchen wall and prior to the application of plaster, a vertical C-shaped metal profile (1) is secured to the brick wall (5) over a niche into which the pipes and taps are to be installed. The U-shaped metal profile has a series of holes for wall attachment screws. The profile rear face has a detent which accommodates the tap fitting in such a manner that the installed fitting projects a given distance from the wall face.
