The safety device for a motorcycle rider and pillion passenger comprises a quick release safety belt system. The belt (1) is quick to open by a Velcro fastening system (2). Constriction of the abdomen is prevented by a guide ring (3) and a metal stopper (4). The length of the belt is adjustable. The connecting center section (6) between the rider and pillion passenger consists of elastic material to ensure a determined independent freedom of movement.
