The head has a material loading device with a rotary chute driven in rotation about vertical axis of rotation. A supply unit (28) supplies one of the measuring devices, lubrication points or similar maintenance recipients arranged in an active area of the chute. The supply unit is drivable by gear units (20, 21) assigned to the chute. The gear and supply units are placed inside a dustproof and heatproof sealing chamber.
