Rib for umbrella frame has reinforcing rod mounted on middle section of folding umbrella arm

The rib (21) is for an umbrella arm (20) for a three fold stage umbrella frame with each arm having three ribs (21). The arm has a stiffening reinforcing rod (2) on the middle rib. The stiffening rod can be retained on the middle rib by a tab (11) formed on the U-profile rib. The stiffening rod can have the same length as the rib minus the connecting rod end sections.
