Method for converting a first image (BI1) of a scene into a second, smaller, image of the scene has the following steps: determination of the position of a face (GES) in the first image; insertion of the face in a face frame object (GRO) that corresponds to the size of the second image and; cutting out of the image area contained by the face frame object to obtain the second smaller image. The invention also relates to a corresponding computer program product and data processing arrangement for implementation of the inventive method.
