Set up so that it takes up any axial force in the area of spiral gearing (22), a pressure cog (34) has a ring-shaped contact surface (36) that points to the spiral gearing and is designed to be touched by axial front faces of a second gearwheel's (14) gearing during gear engagement so as to take up axial forces. In a radial direction, the contact surface is smaller than the total depth of teeth for the spiral gearing. An independent claim is also included for a set of gearwheels made up of two spiral/helical gearwheels.
