A driving device of a robot cleaner 100 comprises a robot cleaner body 101, a pair of motors 140 disposed in the body and driven by power supplies, a pair of driving wheels 110 rotated by the motors, a pair of driven wheels 1210 following the driving wheels, a drive force transmitting means 130 causing the driving wheels and the driven wheels to move in association with each other, a frame unit (170 fig 3) disposed in the robot cleaner body to support the wheels, and a shock-absorbing unit (150 fig 3) disposed in the frame to absorb shock from the surface being cleaned. Preferably, the drive force transmitting means is a timing belt. The shock absorbing unit may comprise upper and lower supporting members with an elastic member disposed therebetween, and a shaft penetrating through the upper and lower members and the elastic member. The elastic member may be a coil spring.
