The process for the mfr of an electric machine commutator or slip ring on the rotating shaft using the minimum number of individual components. The current collector is in one integral part with a deposited metal surface etched away to provide the individual conductor strips and connections for winding leads. The bass material is injection moulded from a heat resistant material and the individual conductor strips are separated either chemically or mechanically.
