The adapter device (12.1, 12.2) comprises a flat rectangular plate which can be placed against and secured to the top and/or bottom side of the container (11) so that the external dimensions of the latter correspond to the internal dimensions of the launcher frame. The rocket launcher has a box-shaped launcher frame with an adjustable elevation and azimuth mounted on an undercarriage, preferably a vehicle. The container has a rectangular cross-section and can be slid into one end of the launcher frame.
