The line has a system whereby the fluid in the line is continuously passed either fully or partly through the section of line (3) to be protected, through a return line (4), a pump (2) and a heat exchanger (1) in which the heat lost in the frost-endangered region is fed back into the fluid. The circulation of the fluid is carried out by an electric pump or internal combustion engine-driven pump.
