<p>A clamp for fitting to a seat belt in order to select the pulled out length of belt has a three part hinged construction. The belt is positioned between the lower (30) and middle (10) sections which are linked by a hinge at one end and a snap fastening grip (13, 14, 21) at the free end. An upper arm (30) is hinged at the same hinge end and has a snap fastening (31) at the free end. The underside of the upper arm has a protruding ridge (32) which presses onto the seat belt and clamps it into a groove (20) in the lower section. The groove is flanked by grip edges (22). The user merely presses a release pad (13) at the front of the system to release the grip on the belt without unclipping the bottom two sections from the belt. This enables the wearer to easily adjust the clamp single handed.</p> |
