1350246 Supply fittings for basins &c VISOLUX-ELEKTRONIK RICHARD SIERING GmbH 6 July 1971 [7 July 1970] 31745/71 Heading A4N [Also in Division E1] A control unit 3 for an electromagnetically actuated valve of a water supply to a hand basin comprises a transmitter, 1 and a receiver 2 of ultra sonic signals, the transmitter and receiver having a spacial relationship in the units such that entry of a body part into the common zone 5 of the signal range lobes 6, 7 of the transmitter and receiver, which zone is located about any water jet flowing out of the supply, causes variation in the magnitude of reflected signals received from the transmitter by the receiver and appropriate actuation of the valve by circuitry incorporated in the unit in accordance with the strength of or the frequency variation of the received signal. The circuitry involves signalamplifying means feeding a signal through a time delay element to the electromagnetic actuating means of the valve. |
