PURPOSE: A method for transmitting data in a portable terminal is provided to analyze an output power control signal of the portable terminal, predict traffic situation, and transmit data in which transmission priority is low when a traffic is low. CONSTITUTION: If data are inputted through a portable terminal(S100), it is judged whether the inputted data are voice signals(S100). If the inputted data are the voice signals, transmission priority is invested to the data(S120). An output power of the portable terminal is analyzed, and a current traffic state value is predicted(S130). A mean value during a uniform time is obtained by the predicted traffic state value, the traffic mean value during the uniform time and a current traffic state value are compared, and a current data transmission level is decided(S140). It is judged whether a data signal with a priority which is higher than the decided transmission level exists(S150). A data signal with the highest priority is transmitted(S160).
