A rubber product having reduced gas permeability comprises a rubber and a specified furnace carbon black. A process of producing of it comprises mechanical working, vulcanization and incorporating of a tyre comprising a rubber and a furnace carbon black having I2 No. of from 12 to 20 mg/g, measured by the procedure set forth in ASTM D 1510 and dibutylphthalate absorption value, DBP, from 28 cc/100g to 65 cc/100g, measured by the procedure set forth in ASTM D 2414, into a rubber product.
