PURPOSE: A turbocharger is provided to transmit energy of exhaust gas to a turbine wheel efficiently with compact structure, and to prevent exhaust interference by flowing together after increasing the flow rate of backward and forward exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION: A turbocharger is composed of an exhaust inflow passage(19) flowing exhaust gas into a turbine wheel(14), and the exhaust inflow passage is composed of an induction unit linearly formed in the inlet of exhaust gas, a scroll part surrounding the turbine wheel annularly and a tongue part formed in the rear end of the scroll part and arranged linearly in the inlet of exhaust gas. The induction unit comprises a partition part(79) dividing the exhaust inflow passage into the first exhaust inflow passage and the second exhaust inflow passage from the inlet to the downstream part, a tightening part having the sectional area narrowed from the inlet to the end of the partition part, a conflux part joining exhaust gas of the first and second exhaust inflow passages, and a diffuser unit having the sectional area expanded from the conflux part to the tongue part. |
