SYSTEM FOR REGIONAL INFORMATION SEARCH SERVICE USING VARIABLE SEARCH RANGE

PURPOSE: A system for a regional information search service using a variable search range is provided to draw out a search result accurately reflecting user's intention by variably setting a search range depending on a scale and a characteristic of the POI(Point Of Interest). CONSTITUTION: A map information database(110) stores maps, location information of each absolute coordinates on the map, and ID information and guide information of each absolute coordinates. A POI information database(120) stores the ID information of each POI and search range setting information of each POI discriminatingly set by the scale/characteristic of the region including the POI. A user input information analyzer(140) extracts the POI and a search condition/target from search request information received from a user input processor(130). A POI searcher(150) searches the POI corresponding to the extracted POI by referring to the POI ID information stored in the POI information database. A search range calculator(160) calculates the search range by the search range setting information of the POI and the search condition.
