PURPOSE: A water leakage prevention structure of a washing machine is provided to restrict the water contained in an outer tub from leaking and to keep the surrounding environment clean by using an air rib which stores the air to form an air layer as the water is poured into the outer tub. CONSTITUTION: A water leakage prevention structure of a washing machine is composed of an outer tub(62) installed in a cabinet and embedded with an inner tub(64) to contain the water; a motor mounted at the lower side of the outer tub, formed with a driving shaft penetrating the center of the outer tub, and sealed by a lower sealer(72); a hub(66) disposed at the driving shaft of the motor to support the inner tub; and an annular air rib(80) projected downward at the lower side of the hub to form air layers(C1,C2) by keeping the air as the water is inserted into the outer tub. |
