The truck (1) has a raised arm (20) comprising two or more telescopic guides (22a-22c) made from lightweight metal. The bottom end of the arm is mounted on the chassis (5) and the top end of the arm is connected to the work platform (30). An angle correction system is used to correct the angle of the arm relative to the floor. The truck has wheels (10) for it to move along a track formed by tubular rails in the floor. The platform can support one or more people. A counter-weight is provided, along with a drive device for moving the truck along the track and for moving the arm.
