PURPOSE: To provide oil compositions in which low temperature performance is improved in a fuel oil derived from an animal or vegetable oil and a mixture of the fuel oil and petroleum-based fuel oil by using ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer having specific vinyl ester content and degree of branching. CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises an oil obtained from methyl esters of animal or vegetable material, both thereof or derivatives thereof, or a mixture of the oil and a petroleum-based oil; and ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer cold flow additive having 17 mol% or more of vinyl ester units and containing five or more alkyl branches per 100 backbone methylenes, wherein the composition further comprises one or more selected from the group consisting of (a) other ethylene-unsaturated ester copolymer; (b) comb copolymer; (c) polar nitrogen compound; (d) compound containing cyclic ring system; (e) hydrocarbon polymer; (f) polyoxyalkylene compound; (g) hydrocarbylated-aromatic pour point depressant; and (h) alkyl phenol formaldehyde condensate.
