PURPOSE: To provide a compensation method of forward-rate for rolling mill using looper angle to relieve excessive loop or excessive tension of top end of rolled plate by detecting a mass flow unbalance amount from looper angle of each stand and calculating a correction amount of threading speed as a forward-rate compensation value, thereby compensating the forward-rate compensation value during setting of the threading speed. CONSTITUTION: The compensation method of forward-rate for rolling mill comprises a first step of impressing initial setting condition values including target thickness, target load, roll speed, roll gap and target looper angle set according to rolling conditions; a second step of judging whether a load cell installed on each stand of a finish rolling mill is loaded on or not and memorizing a load on time of the load cell; a third step of collecting actually measured data of threading speed and looper angle from a motor control panel and an angle detecting sensor after the passage of a certain delay time after loading on the load cells to collect data actually measured at the same point; a fourth step of deriving a looper displacement deviation amount from the two operated values by operating length of rolled plate between stands that is calculated from the looper angle values actually measured at a top end of the rolled plate and length of the rolled plate between the stands that is calculated from the target looper angle value; a fifth step of converting the operated looper displacement deviation amount into a threading speed deviation amount, i.e., a speed correction amount, and quantifying the speed correction amount as a mass flow unbalance amount generated at the top end of the rolled plate; a sixth step of operating a forward-rate deviation amount by a rolling theoretical equation from the quantified mass flow unbalance amount and a set stand speed value; a seventh step of operating a forward-rate compensation amount that should be applied during actual threading by considering a forward-rate compensation amount and a forward-rate SCSV amount of the previous operation from the operated forward-rate deviation amount; an eighth step of outputting a finally obtained forward-rate compensation amount for the whole stands to a SCC(supervisory control computer) setting unit; a ninth step of operating a set rolling mill threading speed value considering the forward-rate compensation amount; and a tenth step of outputting the set threading speed value operated in the ninth step to the motor control panel through a PLC when the rolled plate reaches an input side thermometer of the finish rolling mill.
