PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing colored ¡°Harubang¡± which is a traditional specialty of Jeju island of Korea, an ornamental statue made of basalt, is provided to diverse its function not only as an ornament but also as a healthful product which gives deodorization, demoisturization and antibacterial effects, and to improve its appearance due to various colors and the production economy by using other raw materials instead of single use of basalt. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing colored "Harubang" comprises: grinding clay and at least one selected from loess, mud, elvan, charcoal, jade and selenium to a certain size, and mixing and kneading them together; filling the mixture into a Harubang shaped mold and forming the shape by compress molding; trimming the molded shape and drying it to have 10-15% of a moisture content; sintering the dried product at 700-800deg.C for 5-6 days to prepare a first sintered product; and sintering the first sintered product at 1200-1300deg.C for 10 hours.
