摘要 PURPOSE: An obstacle-sensing robot vacuum cleaner and a control method thereof are provided to effectively determine an area to clean by sensing obstacles on a path of a robot vacuum cleaner. CONSTITUTION: An obstacle-sensing robot vacuum cleaner comprises many infrared ray sensors having infrared ray emitting members and infrared ray receiving members of all-directional band width around a vacuum cleaner, an approximate sensing control unit having the function of self-direction measurement and obstacle avoiding, and a wheel drive unit and a brush drive unit driven by the approximate sensing control unit. The area of a place to clean and the existence of obstacles are detected by the infrared ray sensors(2009,2010,2011). The wheels of the robot vacuum cleaner is driven according to the sensed result(2013).
