PURPOSE: A rocker switch snapping apparatus and a rocker switch are provided to eliminate the need of an additional wire by permitting the apparatus to be attached to the existing rocker switch, and allow for remote control of a lamp. CONSTITUTION: A rocker switch snapping apparatus comprises solenoids(S1,S2) symmetrically arranged on a rocker(51) of a rocker switch(50) such that the solenoids press an upper portion of the rocker when power is applied; a control unit(40) for receiving control signals from a remote controller and controlling coil current of the solenoids; a housing(30) for accommodating the solenoids and the control unit and supporting the solenoids and the control unit on the rocker switch; and the remote controller for transmitting solenoid control signals to the control unit.
