PURPOSE: A device for protecting a terminal is provided to enhance stability of a terminal against water by cutting off power of the terminal to prevent a short phenomenon of internal components of the terminal when the terminal is inadvertently fallen down in water. CONSTITUTION: A battery cell(210) supplies power. A battery protecting unit(220) protects the battery cell(210) by preventing overcharge of the battery cell(210) and transfers power supplied from the battery cell(210) through the first and second pins(1,2). A moisture sensing unit(230) including a moisture sensing pin receives power through the first and second pins(1,2) of the battery protecting unit(220) and activates a switch cutoff signal when moisture is sensed by the moisture sensing pin and the second pin(2). A switch unit(240) cuts off power supplied from the first pin(1) of the battery protecting unit(220) when the switch cutoff signal is activated.
