摘要 PURPOSE: An auxiliary air engine utilizing no-load power of a vehicle is provided to sharply reduce a fuel consumption ratio even in the downtown area by converting and storing no-load power of the engine into compressed air and injecting the compressed air of high pressure to the auxiliary engine together with water to improve the driving efficiency of the engine. CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary air engine utilizing no-load power of a vehicle comprises an air compressor(6) connected to an output shaft(3) of an engine(2) transmitting power to a clutch(5) connected to a transmission(4) by a motor unit(8); an electronic clutch(9) installed to a driving shaft(7) of the air compressor; a control part(12) detecting a contact state of a sensor(10a) operating by the pressing of a brake pedal(10) of the vehicle and controlling the electronic clutch; a storage tank(13) connected to the air compressor by a pipe body(14); an injection nozzle(15) connected to the storage tank by a pipe body(16) and controlled by the control part according to the operation of an accelerator pedal(17); and an auxiliary engine(22) driven by the compressed air injected through the injection nozzle. A pressure sensor(13a) and a solenoid valve(13b) to be controlled by the control part are installed to the storage tank. Braking dissipation energy and engine no-load power are supplied to the output shaft of the engine. The auxiliary engine is closed up by a casing(22c) having suction/exhaust holes(22a,22b). An impeller is built in the output shaft. The injection nozzle is combined to the suction hole. An exhaust pipe(24) connected to a muffler(23) is combined to the exhaust hole. A water tank(25) with an injection pump(25a) is connected to the injection nozzle. An exhaust air recovery container(26) and a water separator(27) connected to the water tank by a recovery pipe(28) are installed to the exhaust pipe. The power of the control part is controlled by a relay switch electrically connected to a key assembly of the vehicle.
