PURPOSE: A method for producing a titanium dioxide nanostructure using a polycarbonate membrane is provided to improve the production convenience and removal of the membrane, and the efficiency as a photocatalyst due to its hollow tube type structure, which makes its specific area bigger than that of the conventional fiber type structure. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing a titanium dioxide nanostructure for a photocatalyst comprises: adding a retarding agent for hydrolysis to titanium tetrachloride or titanium alkoxide to form a sol of titanium dioxide; impregnating a polycarbonate membrane with the resulted sol of titanium dioxide; binding the resulted membrane to a fixed phase by using an inorganic binder; sintering the membrane at 50-100deg.C to make the sol harden in a hydrothermal reactor; and sintering the resulted membrane at 100-1000deg.C in an electric furnace.
