<p>A procedure for damping force shocks consists of the following steps: creation of a pressure shock within a porous elastic fibrous material layer containing a liquid and permeable for liquid; transfer of pressure shock to the first layer of liquid; transfer of pressure shock to a non-porous elastic fibrous material layer containing a liquid and permeable for liquid; transfer of pressure shock to the second layer of liquid; transfer of pressure shock to the first permeable porous layer consisting of an assemblage of firmly interconnected liquid-filled cells whose membrane walls are deformable and each of which is fitted with at least two transient holes offset in the direction of pressure shock propagation; transfer of pressure shock to the first layer of the assemblage along pressure-propagation lines through springs located one close to another, whose upward ends are leaning against the downward surface of the first porous permeable layer and downward ends are leaning against the upward surface of the second porous permeable layer, the space between them being filled with a liquid; transfer of pressure shock across further porous permeable layers and further spring-containing layers to the last porous permeable layer with the structure similar to the one of the first porous permeable layer - the linear dimension of its cells, however, being greater than in the case of the last but one porous permeable layer; and finally, transfer of pressure shock to the liquid at the downward side of the last porous permeable layer. The procedure excels in gradual damping of a force shock through the sequence of several steps, simulating the process occurring within the structure of a human bone exposed to impulsive loadings.</p> |
