The medical set for the treatment of a body conduit affection comprises a radially expandable intraluminal tubular prosthesis (10,20) and an introducer comprising a tubular sheath (31) and an interior long element (35). The prosthesis has an interior diameter greater than the exterior diameter of a portion (35a) of the interior long element which extends axially through the prosthesis. When the prosthesis is partially housed in the sheath and partially outside, a portion of the prosthesis extends inside the sheath obliquely relative to the sheath's axis (33) so that the prosthesis then locally has a reduced interior diameter where it engages the portion of the interior long element. An Independent claim is included for a method for the controlled exit of the prosthesis.
