PURPOSE: A method for detecting a connector coupled state of a disk player is provided to install firmware on a main board of a disk player, in order to drive the firmware at any time, thereby automatically detecting a coupled state of a connector used for connecting the main board of the disk player with an apparatus unit. CONSTITUTION: A DVD player driving controller detects whether a connector coupled state with a tray driver is inferior, depending on whether a tray is normally closed within a specific time(22). The driving controller detects whether a connector coupled state with a sled driver is inferior, depending on whether a sled is normally transferred to an inner circumferential direction(24). The controller detects whether a connector coupled state with a spindle driver is inferior, depending on whether a spindle motor is normally driven(26). The controller detects whether a connector coupled state with a pickup driver is inferior, depending on whether a level is changed during a disk detection(28).
