PURPOSE: A relay is provided to allow a user to directly check, through naked eyes, the residual life of the contact of the relay capable of performing a switching operation. CONSTITUTION: A relay comprises a case(10), a core(20), a switch(30), a fixed contact(40), an operating shaft(70), and a cam(72). The case is made of a transparent material. The core is arranged in the case, and has a circumference wound with a coil. The switch is spaced apart from a top of the core and arranged such that the switch is rotatable in a vertical direction. The fixed contact is arranged beneath a front end of the switch, and penetrates through the case such that the fixed contact is in contact with the switch when the switch moves downward. The operating shaft penetrates through one side wall of the case such that the operating shaft is arranged above the switch and rotatable. The cam is arranged at an inner end of the operating shaft, and moves the switch downward in accordance with the rotation of the operating shaft.
