PURPOSE: A magnetic trip device(MTD) is provided to simplify the configuration of the MTD, and achieve improved performance of the device by increasing the size of an output load. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic trip device comprises an MTD coil(10), a hook lever(20), a hook lever spring(30), a slide(40), a slide holder(50), an MTD spring(60), a ratchet torsion spring(70), a ratchet lever(80), an MTD reset lever(90), and an MTD case(110). The MTD coil is constituted by a moving core formed by compressing a permanent magnet and a coil spring in a coil, and drives a trip mechanism by converting an electrical signal of a trip relay into a mechanical output. The hook lever drives the slide held by a hook(24), by the movement of the moving core generated by the signal output from the trip relay. The hook lever spring rotates the hook lever during reset operation such that the hook lever hooks the slide. The slide advances by the force of the MTD spring and drives a trip mechanism when the hook is released by the rotation of the hook lever. The slide holder fixes the MTD coil and the MTD spring, and guides forward and rearward movement of the slide. The MTD spring is fixed in the slider holder, and allows for a trip operation by moving the slide forward when the hook lever rotates. The ratchet torsion spring returns the slide which has moved forward by a trip after operation of the MTD. The ratchet lever rotates the ratchet torsion spring such that the slide returns. The MTD reset lever presses and resets the moving core when the ratchet lever rotates by the trip operation of a breaker. The MTD case supports the components.
