The removable dental implant comprises a root engaging in the gum, and a crown. It is shaped so as to be retained in the gum by the force resulting from the difference in pressures acting on the surface of the crown (2) clear of the gum (4) on one hand, and on the surface of the root (3) on the other. The root can have a smooth-surfaced cylindrical body, extended at the end opposite to the crown by a smooth-surfaced hemispherical portion (6) of the same radius as the body, or greater.
