DEVICE FOR PLAYING ONLINE MEDIA USING BARCODE SCANNER SCANNING BARCODE PRINTED ON PACKAGE OF CD/DVD

PURPOSE: A device for playing online media using a barcode scanner scanning a barcode printed on package of a CD/DVD(Digital Versatile Disc) is provided to enable a user to confirm information for the CD/DVD or related information by downloading/playing the information from a media/information storing server through the network, as the barcode printed on the package or a label is read by the barcode scanner. CONSTITUTION: The barcode scanner(10) reads the barcode printed on the CD/DVD. A controller(100) reads/downloads the information stored in the media/information storing server(30) connected through the network(20) and the Internet(25) by using a serial number read through the barcode scanner. An information storing part(40) stores the information downloaded by the controller. A media player(50) plays the information stored in the storing part by control of the controller.
