PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for measuring noise in an image product are provided to objectively perform comparison and estimation of image quality, thereby offering objective comparison and estimation data of the image product by measuring and analyzing brightness noise and frequency noise, and computing an objective data. CONSTITUTION: A measurement part(201) measures frequency or brightness level. A setting part(200) sets a specific frequency range or a specific brightness range, and a display type to be displayed. An analyzing part(202) analyzes the output values outputted from the measurement part within the set ranges set by the setting part. An operation part(203) operates the analyzed values into the display type and outputs the operated values.
