The process involves introducing a product to be crushed into an opening at an upper part (4) of an enclosure (3). The enclosure encloses a shaft (1) that drives hammers (2). The product at lower part of the enclosure is evacuated and is poured out on a sieve. The residue that is not crushed is recycled to the upper part of the enclosure. Fixed bars (6) are interposed between internal face of the enclosure and ends of the hammers. An independent claim is also included for a grinder.
