PURPOSE: A thread guard and a thread guard strip contain a switch board generating an error signal when thread is cut, two lever arms containing an eyelet and a magnet acting on the lever arms. CONSTITUTION: A thread guard of an embroidering machine and a quilting machine contains: one or two lever arms(15,17) containing an eyelet holding needle thread; a switch board(13) capable of being changed a direction centering around an axis; and a magnet(23) acting on the lever arms(15,17) and changing the direction of the switch board(13) to generate an error signal when the thread is cut. |
