PURPOSE: A liquid exhausting apparatus is provided to display an amount of wasted liquid in a display section by using a graph. CONSTITUTION: An ink jet printer(11) includes a printer body section(12), a head cartridge(13), and a recording paper tray(14). The printer body section(12) is equipped with a recording paper conveying unit or an electric circuit unit. The printer body section(12) is formed at an upper end thereof with a receiving section(15) for receiving the head cartridge(13). The receiving section(15) is covered with an upper cover(16). A tray insertion port(17) is formed at a front lower portion of the printer body section(12) so as to allow the recording paper tray(14) to be inserted into the tray insertion port(17).
