LARGE AND COLD-RESISTANT VARIETY OF WALNUT PLANT WHICH IS ASEXUALLY PROPAGATED BY MERITHALLUS GRAFT

PURPOSE: A variety of walnut plant which is asexually propagated by merithallus graft is provided. The variety of walnut plant is cultivable in the whole country due to its large and cold-resistant properties, and is stably mass-produced because a descendant walnut plant has the same genotype as a parent walnut plant. CONSTITUTION: The variety of walnut plant asexually propagated by merithallus graft has the properties of: fruit height of 36.0 to 37.0 mm, fruit width of 35.5 to 36.5 mm, fruit weight of 12.5 to 13.5g, core weight of 6.5 to 7.5g, core weight ratio of 53.5 to 54.5%, fruit surface thickness of 0.9 to 1.1 mm, and flower property of protandrous. The method for producing the variety of walnut comprises the steps of: collecting scion before tree fluid moves; storing the collected scion at 0 to 4 deg. C; and grafting the stored scion in the epicotyl rootstock after 5 to 10 days of germination of the rootstock seeds.
