Arrangement for production of dental prostheses such as crowns or bridges, comprises a cathode (38-46) and anode arrangement. The anode (36) is configured as a hollow cylinder with a through hole. A heating unit (50, 52) is arranged within the anode and extends from its mounting (30) or holder (28). Mounting and or holder can be raised and or lowered and positioned on first (22) or second (24) positioning surfaces with one surface used for a container containing rinsing fluid. An independent claim is made for a method for galvanic deposition of metals on a workpiece placed in an electrolyte in order to form a molding.
