Coupling device for facilitating communications between a physical line and a wireless terminal

A communication device (20) includes a wireless communication terminal (22) and a coupling device (24) that facilitates communications between the wireless terminal (22) and a physical line (26). The coupling device (24) includes a stripline conductor (40) that is placed near the antenna (30) of the wireless terminal to establish a proximity coupling between the strip line conductor and the antenna (30). Communication in either direction between the wireless terminal (22) and the physical line (26) are facilitated by the coupling device (24) of this invention.
