The invention relates to an adhesive composition employed for metal-rubber or metal-metal joints. According to the invention, the composition consists of: 100 parts by weight of perbunan having 28% acrylonitrile, 20 parts by weight of zinc oxide, 5 parts by weight of lead dioxide, 3 parts by weight of hexamethenetetramine, 18 parts by weight of resorcinol, 100 parts by weight of phenolic resin having 12.73% water, 10.92% phenol and a viscosity of 338.2 cP at a temperature of 20 C, 0.3 parts by weight of diphenylguanidine, 0.7 parts by weight of captax, 3 parts by weight of sulphur.
