Process for controlling the (co)polymerisation of olefins in a continuous polymerisation reactor wherein the olefin (co)polymerisation is performed in an industrial plant reactor in the presence of a polymerisation catalyst characterised in that at least one operating parameter of the plant is controlled by means of a measurement of the chain branching level (CBL) of the produced polymer.
