The coplanar end connection (5) for the coaxial cable has a dielectric substrate (11) carrying a metalized layer (10). The metalized layer has a V-shaped cutout (12) at the end adjacent to the coaxial cable. The coaxial cable has a solid circular-cross-section inner conductor (2), a first dielectric layer (3) and a conducting outer sheath (4) connected to a square terminal block (1). The inner conductor of the cable is connected to a central tapering conductor (6) on top of a second dielectric layer (9). Two tapering outer conductors (7,8) are connected to the square terminal block on the end of the cable sheath.
