The invention relates to the hemisulphate salt of (1S, 4R)-cis-4-[2-amino-6-(cyclopropylamino)-9H-purin-yl]-2-yl-cyclopentene-1-methanol or its solvate and is applicable in medicine, in particular for the treatment of viral infections. They also relate to methods for the preparation of initial compounds for the preparation of the hemisulphate salt.
