One or more inserts(11), made of a heat insulating material, are positioned in specific areas(13) of the electroformed tool(10) to limit flow of the slush molding material and produce a more defined edge around the specified area of the molding. Each insert(11) comprises a carrier material with an outline shape corresponding to the areas in which flow is to be restricted. Inserts may extend around the outside of the entire tool(10). Insert thickness is 10-30mm, preferably 15-20mm. Independent claims are required for: (a) a process for manufacturing a slush skin in which an insert is positioned in the tool to restrict flow of the slush skin during molding; (b) an insert of heat insulating material placed in an electroformed mold to restrict material flow; (c) a slush molded skin produced using the claimed process.
