The lightweight single-use feeding bowl (10) is made of deep drawn aluminum foil especially 80-130 mu thick. It has a flat bottom (12), a circular upstanding wall and a turned-over edge which rests on the floor. The edge is rolled up to produce a circular-section lower rim. Both sides of the aluminum foil may be covered with a polypropylene layer especially 20-40 mu thick. The bowls are designed to stack together. A bowl may have a thin aluminum foil lid which may be peeled away to reveal a prepacked meal.
